DC Fishing License

One of the more regular questions we get is whether or not you need a license to fish District of Colombia waters. The answer is yes. Any person, age 16 to 64, fishing in District of Columbia waters, including from the Virginia shoreline or National Park land, must possess a current DC Fishing License. The annual license costs $10 for residents and $13 for non-residents. Use the link below to visit the Department of Energy & Environment's website to purchase a license online.
