Project Healing Waters

Picture
In 2005, NCC-TU volunteers and contributions helped to establish Project Healing Waters (PHW), which is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing. NCC-TU is now the sponsoring organization for the Project Healing Waters Program at the DC VA Hospital. We're extremely proud to support the local chapter of PHW, and to create volunteer opportunities for folks living in the greater D.C. area. If you're interested in PHW, please get in touch to learn more.  And please watch the video below to learn a little bit more about this great initiative, with our very own Dan Sheesley.

The Mayfly Project

The Mayfly Project is an organization that uses fly fishing as a catalyst to mentor children in foster care. NCC-TU is proud to sponsor a child each year for this fantastic program as well as sponsor a team for The Mayfly Project's Foster The Rise 2-Fly Tournament

Casting for Recovery

Casting for Recovery provides healing outdoor retreats for women with breast cancer, at no cost to the participants. NCC-TU is a supporter of Casting for Recovery's annual Maryland Retreat.
