Let's Go Fishing!
Last modified by MLS February 13, 2010.

If you would enjoy an opportunity to fish with a group led by anglers knowledgeable about the area’s best waters, what the fish are biting, and how to catch them, our outings program should interest you.

Outing leaders are prepared to offer an introduction to the water and instruction in effective fishing techniques. Each leader will determine the number of people that can be accommodated on the trip depending on the size of the water and the availability of personnel for guiding and instruction. Participants should: bring their own flyfishing gear, food and drink; and have a valid fishing license.

Contact the trip organizer to reserve a place on the trip and mail the organizer any associated fee. Your spot will be confirmed upon receipt of any associated fee. Outings are free of charge to Trout Unlimited (TU) members who:

  • Are members in good standing of Trout Unlimited. Non-members will be asked to renew expired memberships ($35) or pay $17.50 to join if they have never in the past been a member;

  • Have paid the $15 National Capital Chapter annual chapter assessment for the current year. TU Members who have not paid the annual chapter assessment of $15 will be asked to do so; and

  • Outing participants will be asked to sign the chapter's Outing Release Form before the trip.

If you are willing to organize an outing or would like to request an outing, contact Craig Johnson, our Outings Chair.
