September 10, 2018 - Welcome Back! Andrew Reichardt, President NCC-TU
Welcome back NCC-TU Members! We hope that you had a fantastic summer, with plenty of opportunities to travel and get on the water for some great fishing. The chapter board has been hard at work over the past few months preparing for what should be another fantastic chapter year and we are looking forward to seeing each of you in the coming weeks and months.
I would like to thank each of you for your support of the chapter and for allowing me the opportunity to lead this fantastic organization over the past twelve months. The 2017-2018 year was a year of many milestones for the chapter. Between the founding of the Project Healing Waters program at the DC VA hospital, the chapter hosting its first showing of the International Fly Fishing Film Festival, organizing the first Tidal Potomac Slam Fishing Tournament, our grants and assistance to Brook Trout conservation projects across the Mid-Atlantic, as well as many other major changes, the 2017-2018 chapter year was foundational to the progress we hope to make in the coming months and years.
However, in order to continue the chapter's ongoing transformation, we will continue to need your support. Whether you have only a few dollars or a few hours to spare, no contribution is too small to make a difference. As part of our chapter transformation, we will be implementing additional changes to the chapter's organizational model. The board and I believe that this reorganization will allow us to better serve our chapter's missions of conservation, community service and education, while allowing more members to take an active role in helping to steer the direction of our organization. If you are interested in learning how you may take a more active role in the chapter, I can be reached anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Again, I want to thank each of you for your support of NCC-TU and am excited to welcome you back for another fantastic chapter year!
