2016-2017 Season:


Oct. 11 :   Meeting Cancelled

Nov. 9:   Richie Farino, formerly with the Urban Angler, Alexandria, will talk about Steelhead fishing with particular focus on the mid-Atlantic opportunities. He will also bring us up-to-date on his plans to open a flyfishing shop in the DC area.
NOTE : New location for this meeting is Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, 7900 Norfolk Avenue, Bethesda.

Gather at 7:30p, meeting program to start at 8:00p. There will be a brief business meeting for the election of our slate of 2016-2017 Officers prior to the program. Light food will be provided; cash bar.
There is ample public parking in the same block as the restaurant at the St. Elmo Garage. 4935 St. Elmo Avenue, Bethesda. Go to the upper stories for metered three hour parking.

January 11, 7:30p
Dalton Terrell
on "Backwoods Brook Trout Fishing."  Dalton is a director of our sister organization, the Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders.  

We will meet at Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, 7900 Norfolk Ave., Bethesda MD. 
The meeting will start  at 7:30p with the program at about 8p.  Light food will be provided and there will be a Cash bar.

February 7, 6:30pm:  
"SHAD NIGHT"
Learn all about "The Founding Fish:" rigging spinning and fly tackle, flies and darts, raffles, trip auctions, the Friends of Fletcher's Cove will report on the status of restoration efforts, and more. Our most popular program. We will meet at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center.

Mar. 8: 7:30p Pennsylvania Guide Tom Baltz
will speak on fishing PA's Cumberland Valley streams. Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, 7900 Norfolk Ave., Bethesda

April 12:
​7:30p "Safety While Fly Fishing" with Mike Abramowitz. Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, 7900 Norfolk Ave., Bethesda

May 10:  7:30p Potomac River Guide Mark Kovach will give us the low-down on fishing for the famous Potomac River smallmouth bass and other adventures. Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, 7900 Norfolk Ave., Bethesda

MEETING SCHEDULE & DIRECTIONS
Chapter Meetings with featured speakers are held on the second Wednesday of the month in October, November, January, February, March, April and May. Meetings are open to the public, and begin with an informal social time at 7:30p with the program starting at 8:00. New in 2017, Chapter meetings are held at the Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, 7900 Norfolk Avenue, Bethesda, MD. Public parking at $1.00  per hour is available in the County parking garage on St Elmo Avenue.
